Mary is distracted by a page on beach wear for when Vincent goes with Mama to the beach. There are terry cloth coats for when he has his bath or he is taken to the doggie spa and so forth.
She clicks on a link that promises winter Chihuahua wear. Sure enough, there are all kinds of winter Chihuahua clothes. One winter coat is made of black leather. The images are so good that she can almost smell the leather.
She takes her time. She is, after all, in Chihuahua heaven. Suddenly, she stumbles upon a link to a Chihuahua safety equipment page. Mary had never thought of that. What would happen to Vincent if she hit a car or something and he was unprotected on the seat?
Intrigued, she finds herself surrounded by all kinds of safety gear for her little dog like car safety harness and special leashes that have a built in GPS transmitter. If Vincent were to get lost, she would have no trouble finding him with her lap top.
If incorporating all this into a fun, profitable website leaves you fearful and anxious, relax, take it easy and take a deep breath. The process can be simple and easy. We will blow away the smoke and take aim at those fears and concerns.
Back to Mary and her search.
Another link takes her to Chihuahua nutrition pages and she soon finds herself immersed in deep reading on how to keep Vincent healthy.
And so it goes. She has a great need that she is willing to lay out lots of cash for. If the builder of the website is smart, he or she also has a love for the little Chihuahua dogs and it will show in the quality of the content on their site pages.
You can almost hear the happy, healthy clicking of little paws on pavement.
Along the way, they have found different companies that offer different Chihuahua specialty items. All of these companies have affiliate programs and the site owners signed up for all of the best ones.
What they are doing in their pages is called preselling and this is the third step mentioned in the beginning. Mary came to the website with a definite need. The site pages convince her that they hold the solution. Mary is presold on the idea that she need go no further.
The Chihuahua winter clothes come from a company in California. The safety equipment is from a company in New York and the GPS harness is from Japan. The site owners do not have to handle any of the items she might purchase.
Their site does the selling, the customer does the buying and the companies do all the shipping, customer care and so forth. This is the fourth itemMonetization.
There is a mechanism in place for Mary to safely buy what she needs without the site owners doing anything other than creating quality content on their pages.

This is by far the most important of all.
Most people want to make money but they have the wrong mindset in regards to the process of doing so.
They see internet businesses as get rich quick ways like lottery and betting.
Just because they see other marketers earn thousands and millions in their salesletters and videos, they have the misperception that if they signed up for their courses, they will earn the same amount by tomorrow or in a week or month.
Because that is what most hyped up salesletters and videos say.
But if you are a mature adult and entrepreneur, you know as well as I do that is not going to happen. Like any businesses, you need a lot of dedication, hard work and effort to get to where you want to be.
And if they don't earn, they will either give up or signed up for another course with the same mentality.
2. Stop Buying One Internet Marketing Course After Another
That brings me to the second point.
That was also my mistake when I first got started online. It is also what I defined as Newbie Trapor Shiny Object Syndrome.
What they do is signed up for a course and tried out for a while say 1 or 2 weeks or just 2-3 days. And if they don't make money, they bought another program.
And this trend could continue and do more harm as they spend more and more money without making any in the long run.

Besides socializing in sites like Facebook and iPhones which everyone does these days, you need to go out and connect with people.
Although you can research on your niche and target market, nothing beats communicating with real people and hearing what they have to say.
